How it works
Your server runs in an isolated container on a dual-Xeon machine in Texas, with a fixed share of memory, CPU and disk that nothing else can eat into. You manage it through a full control panel — live console, file manager, config editor, scheduled restarts, SFTP.
Players don't connect to that machine directly. Traffic arrives at an edge server in Dallas and travels to us down an encrypted tunnel. That keeps latency around 20 ms for players in Texas, and means a denial-of-service attack hits hardened infrastructure rather than the box your world lives on.
Why capacity is limited
Most hosts sell more servers than their hardware can comfortably run and rely on customers not all being busy at once. We don't. Every plan is checked against real remaining memory, CPU, disk and server count before an order is accepted, and when a plan runs out it says sold out instead of quietly making everyone else slower.
That's why the plans page shows a number next to each option. It's the actual count of servers we can still fit.
What we're not
- Not a datacenter. No SLA, no uptime guarantee, no 24/7 NOC. Hardware fails and maintenance happens.
- Not the fastest for heavy modpacks. Our CPUs favour core count over clock speed, and Minecraft's tick loop is single-threaded. A 300-mod pack will run better on a high-clock host.
- Not affiliated with any game publisher. Knight Keep has no connection to Mojang, Microsoft, Iron Gate, or anyone else. Game names are used only to say which server software we run.
