Terms of Service

Knight Keep is operated by Kyle P. Walker. Last updated September 2026.

Summary in plain language. We rent you a game server on our own hardware. We do our best

to keep it running, but we are a small operation and we do not promise uptime. You are

responsible for what you run and for keeping your own backups. Either of us can end the

arrangement.

1. What the service is

Knight Keep provides managed game server hosting: an allocated share of memory, CPU and disk

on our hardware, plus a control panel to manage your server.

2. Best effort — there is no SLA

We do not guarantee uptime and we do not offer a service level agreement. Servers run on

owner-operated hardware behind a residential internet connection, routed through a rented

edge server. Outages, maintenance and hardware failure will happen. If guaranteed uptime

matters to you, use a datacenter host — we would rather say so now than take your money.

3. Fees, renewal and cancellation

Plans are billed monthly in advance and continue until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next

charge; your server stays available until the end of the period you have paid for. Partial

months are not pro-rated, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law

requires otherwise.

4. Your data and your backups

You are responsible for your own backups. We may take backups for our own operational

reasons, but we do not guarantee they exist, are current, or can be restored. Server data is

deleted after cancellation or non-payment, so export anything you want to keep first.

5. Game publishers' terms

Your server is also subject to the game publisher's own terms. Running a Minecraft server

requires you to accept Mojang's End User Licence Agreement (https://aka.ms/MinecraftEULA).

You accept those terms directly with the publisher. Knight Keep is not affiliated with,

endorsed by or sponsored by Mojang, Microsoft, Iron Gate or any other publisher.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use a Knight Keep server to break the law, to store or distribute unlawful

material, to attack or gain unauthorised access to systems you do not own, to send spam, to

mine cryptocurrency, or to interfere with other customers or our infrastructure. We may

suspend a server immediately if we believe it is being used in these ways.

7. Resource limits

Each plan has fixed memory, CPU and disk limits. A server that exceeds its memory allocation

may be stopped automatically to protect others on the same machine. We do not oversell — when

a plan reaches capacity we stop selling it rather than degrading everyone.

8. Player IP addresses

Traffic reaches your server through our edge network, so your server sees a single upstream

address rather than individual player addresses. Per-player IP bans will not work as you may

expect; use in-game username bans.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate service for non-payment, for breach of these terms, or where

continuing would put our infrastructure or other customers at risk. You may cancel at any

time, for any reason.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the

amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for

indirect or consequential damages, including lost data, lost progress or lost profits.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be shown to you before they take effect;

continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them.
